CAVE Testimonials

“When your kids don’t complain about going to school, you know it’s the right fit.”
— Melissa, CAVE Mom

Student (6th Grade)

As a student I like going to THE CAVE because I feel like I am learning a lot while being in an Christian environment. At my previous school when a new teacher came to teach the class I was in, I had a hard time understanding what he was saying. When I came to THE CAVE I could clearly understand what Mrs. Harris was saying. I also enjoy that in the afternoons we go on experiential field trips to help me truly find out what I want to do when I grow up.

CAVE Parents

The design of The CAVE school day was a big factor in our decision as parents. We love that all the class work is done in the morning, when our boys are most likely to be successful. A curriculum that uses Standards Based Learning gives assurances that our kids are really absorbing and understanding what they learn. It’s not a day of worksheets and busy work, but focused attention on helping them succeed. Every afternoon they have something to look forward to. They spend time with tradesmen, volunteering at a local non-profit, being outside and active, or learning a life skill. We love that they are developing life skills while getting a top notch education.

I had a mind-changing experience after mentoring the students from The Cave. They were attentive, disciplined, and eager to learn. My hat is off to the parents and teachers of these incredible children. It has given me hope for our future leaders. Great job balancing the education program with real-world affairs.

Grateful CAVE Mom

Looking back at my own (K-12) school experience, I realize how little it prepared me for figuring out what I wanted to do in life. Career exploration was never even a conversation, and that’s always been one of my biggest frustrations with traditional school. Kids spend over seven hours a day in a classroom, yet so many, like me, graduate without a clue about their future.

That’s why I was so excited to send my kids to The CAVE. Here, they’re not just checking boxes on schoolwork.  They’re gaining real-world experience, exploring careers, and developing practical life skills, all while discovering the joy of volunteering and serving others. I love that mornings are focused on academics, while afternoons are all about hands-on learning. Mrs. Harris truly connects with my kids and keeps an open line of communication with us as parents, making us feel involved and confident in our kids’ education.

The best thing you can do for your kid is to send them to The CAVE.  It’s great to have a space where the kids feel like they’re getting a personal teacher instead of sharing their teacher with 20-30 kids. The kids are well behaved and are getting a headstart in life. Partnering with companies is giving them the benefit of real life experience and skills and helping them develop their critical thinking skills.  I’ve really enjoyed teaching the kids certain skills and sharing what I do.  They’re inquisitive, smart and engaged.

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting a group of students from the CAVE school for a field trip at our screen print shop, and we couldn’t have asked for a better group! The students were engaged, curious, and eager to learn, making the experience so much fun for all of us.

It’s clear that the CAVE program does an incredible job of combining academics with real-world learning opportunities, and we were thrilled to be a part of that. From the Health & Wellness focus to Life Skills and Vocational training, these students are gaining valuable experiences that will undoubtedly help shape their futures.

We were impressed by their enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to explore something new. It’s exciting to think that this field trip could spark a passion in some of them for the world of screen printing or inspire them in another area of their future careers. We look forward to being part of their journey toward success and can’t wait to welcome more students in the future. Thank you, CAVE, for this fantastic opportunity!

I like The CAVE because it’s not just sitting in the classroom. We get to go out in the world and learn trades. The CAVE is preparing us for a better and more successful life outside just our classroom.

I think The CAVE is awesome! We get to go on very cool learning experiences and fun ones too. We have a great time here, but we still get a ton of work done. We also get to have a lot of fun on Wednesday afternoons with our athletic coach. The CAVE is amazing and you should join!”

I really like The Cave because it is one of the best learning experiences I have ever had. I really enjoy playing with my friends and learning more and more each day. My teachers before haven’t been amazing, but I can tell you that this has been way different. My teacher is amazing and I love the way she teaches! I also like all the cool experiences with all of our community partners. I’ve really learned a lot from them. So if you are looking for a place you can love, consider The Cave.

I love The CAVE because Mrs. Harris understands that we all learn differently. So, she helps all of us learn in our own way.
